This Website is dedicated to those who served in The Bunny Platoon:  their families, families of those who didn’t make it home, and families of those who came home but have left us since.  The purpose is to make members, fellow veterans, and the community aware of the needs of many war veterans and their families.  The problems have not gone away, and there is little effort to actually track down those who need help.  Some we find are fine, but many, members or not, need help.  These are all true combat veterans not the 'Professional Vets' too often used by the media as poor examples of the fine men who actually fight our wars.

Our links walk you through who we were, what we did, and the problems we unexpectedly encountered when trying to get our band of brothers together again.  Further, we walk you through what we are trying to accomplish with your help.

The initial goal, begun by member Jerry Greenwood about ten years ago, was simply to locate and contact surviving servicemen from The Bunny Platoon;  to reestablish connections and friendships made long ago among our remarkable "band of brothers." As we began reuniting, however, we discovered an ongoing--and sometimes urgent--need among some of us to access our rights and benefits as Vietnam veterans. Feeling demoralized by the Veterans Administration, or marginalized by the society they returned home to, some of our members long ago gave up on reaching out for assistance.

We decided to organize ourselves more intently, expanding our initial mission to include offering emotional encouragement to and securing professional resources for those members who need and want our help.

Over forty years ago, we came together to serve our country in a time of war. Today, we are coming together once again to serve each other, to offer hope and help to those of us still suffering the emotional, physical, or financial ravages of our shared combat experience .
